Ingredients Needed for Marinating Food
Every home cook, chef, or food service worker has their own favorite recipe for marinating. Whether it is vegetables, game meat, poultry, or a roast for the family Sunday dinner, a good marinate will enhance the meal. Marinating food tenderizes, adds flavor, and may cut down on cooking time. Grocery stores offer a variety of jarred or dry marinates. Or visit any online cooking source to find a marinate, or use a cookbook from the shelf for a recipe. Whatever source you use, you will discover many choices to combine and create your marinate, but most will have a few basic ingredients. You may also discover some marinates are simmered before immersing the meat or vegetables into them, while others are just combined and spooned over the main course. What is important while marinating, is giving the marinate enough time to do its job.
