Slow Cooker Soups and Stews to Keep You Warm This Fall

slow cook and hold

As temperatures continue to drop this fall, nothing hits the spot quite like a good, hearty soup. That's why we've put together a list of our favorite low-temperature slow cooker soups and stews. Since most involve long cook times over slow heat, you'll find your kitchen work decreasing and your expectations rising.

We can't wait to hear which one you choose!

Slow Cooker Soups and Stews to Keep You Warm This Fall

Our first suggestion is a Slow Cooker Meatball, Sweet Potato, and Kale Soup from Smile Sandwich. It's healthy, hearty, and absolutely packed with flavor! Use deep, wide bowls to provide maximum servings.

Next, consider this Crockpot Irish Stew from Family Fresh Meal. It's warm, filling, and wonderful! It needs to cook for at least eight hours, though; so to enjoy it for dinner, be sure to get it started right away in the morning.

This Slow Cooker Lentil and Ham Soup from Allrecipes may not be the most visually appealing offering on this list, but it's certainly one of the most heartwarming.

“Come home at the end of the day to a richly spiced broth filled with lentils, ham and veggies. Pair it up with cornmeal muffins and you have a great meal!”

If that's not quite your style, try this Slow Cooker Creamy Wild Rice Soup with Butter Roasted Mushrooms from Half Baked Harvest. The rich, creamy broth perfectly offsets the colorful ingredients. Serve with dark bread, and you have quite a meal!

Finally, we recommend Slow-Cooker Lasagna Soup from Taste of Home. While it may not be the most sophisticated recipe we've ever suggested, it's absolutely delicious—not to mention popular with kids!
