Getting Started with Commercial Food Warmers

commercial food warmers

If you are just getting started in the world of commercial food warmers, then you have come to the right place. We have put together a list of information to help you care for your new warmers and use them to best advantage.

When caring for your warmers, please remember the following tips:

Do clean your units regularly. On a daily basis, you should power them down to clean them inside and out. See-through panels in the front should be polished with glass cleaner at this time as well. At least every few days, the unit should be moved so that the area underneath can be cleaned as well.

Do not use your unit as a shelf. Stacking items on top of your food warmer not only hinders in cleaning, but it also creates a potential fire hazard.

Do research what foods hold best. Just because you have a professional commercial food warmer, that doesn't mean everything you cook and hold will turn out perfectly. Some foods just lend themselves better to the holding process than others. Be sure to research what foods hold best. (Pro tip: you'll find plenty of advice along those lines by scrolling back in this blog.)

Do not overlook routine maintenance. As with any important investment, food warmers require routine care and maintenance in order to function well. Be sure to consult your owner's manual and follow its advice for keeping your machine at top performance.
